Azura’s snacking tomatoes have a carbon footprint
1.5
times
lower than that of winter-grown European produce, which relies on heated and/or artificially lit greenhouses.
How is that possible?

Our low-energy greenhouses help reduce our environmental footprint
Grown in Morocco under favourable climate conditions, our snacking tomatoes have a carbon footprint at least 1.5 times lower than that of winter-grown European produce, which relies on heated and/or artificially lit greenhouses.

Our waste?
Clean as can be!
First of all, 100% of our production waste is recycled and recovered. And what about organic waste? Since January 2024, we've been transforming it into compost and SRF (Solid Recovered Fuel), which is used as an energy source by local cement manufacturers.
And what about water?
The Azura Group has received
AWS (Alliance for Water Stewardship)
certification for its snacking tomatoe production.
By contracting 100% of its water needs from desalinated sources in Agadir, Azura minimizes reliance on fragile groundwater reserves.
Our Commitments for the Future
Azura is committed to a clear path toward reducing its carbon footprint

To achieve this SBTi targets, Azura has established a dedicated Climate Committee, responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Group’s ecological transition plan.
Since 2024, Azura has been among a select group of around sixty agri-food companies worldwide whose climate targets have been validated by the SBTi.

Our Commitment to Rural Communities
The Great Taste
of Quality
Quality, traceability, and food safety: from the nursery to client delivery, Azura implements strict control points at every stage, always striving for excellence.
-
1
Production
We are gradually reducing our inputs through biological treatments, notably with the help of Biobest Morocco, which supports natural pollination (bumblebees) and pest control within our crops.
-
HARVESTING
Harvesting takes place as early as possible to avoid the heat. Once picked and sorted by batch, the snacking tomatoes are quickly transported to the packing station for packaging.
2 -
3
QUALITY CONTROL
Fruit inspection is carried out based on each client’s specifications. For every batch, the teams assess several criteria such as size, color, and more.
-
Scientific Analyses
Azura ensures constant monitoring through phytosanitary, microbiological and chemical analyses to control the quality of our products.
